a) Holy Spirit Fire

Luke 3:16

Acts 2:3–4 – Tongues of fire at Pentecost.

Meaning:

  • Purifying presence
  • Empowerment for ministry

2. Fire as Purification & Refinement

a) Testing of Believers

1 Corinthians 3:13–15 – Works tested by fire.

1 Peter 1:7 – Faith refined like gold.

Hebrews 12:29 – “Our God is a consuming fire.”

Meaning:

  • Trials purify believers
  • God removes impurities

True faith survives testing

3. Fire as Judgment of God

a) Eternal Judgment

Matthew 25:41 – Eternal fire prepared for the devil.

7. Fire as Division & Testing Loyalty

Luke 12:49 – “I came to bring fire on the earth.”

Meaning:

  • Gospel creates division
  • Truth exposes hearts

8. Fire in Symbolic Vision of Christ

Revelation 1:14 – Eyes like blazing fire.

Revelation 19:12

Meaning:

  • All-seeing judgment
  • Divine authority
  • Holy purity
