Question: Today Church celebrate Jesus, but forget his Radical and uncomfortable teachings,Why?

That’s a strong and necessary question—because if we’re honest, many churches today celebrate Jesus Christ, but don’t always follow His most radical, uncomfortable teachings.

Let’s not soften it. Here are truths Jesus spoke then and now that many churches quietly ignore:

1. “Deny Yourself, Take Up Your Cross”

(Matthew 16:24)

Jesus didn’t call people to comfort—He called them to death of self.

Today’s problem:

  • Church often preaches:
  • “God will bless you”
  • “God will make your life better”

But Jesus said:

  • Lose your life
  • Die to your desires
  • Follow Him even into suffering

The gospel is not self-improvement—it’s self-crucifixion.

2. “You Cannot Serve God and Money”

(Matthew 6:24)

Jesus directly attacked materialism.

Today’s problem:

  • Prosperity is preached louder than holiness
  • Giving is often tied to receiving blessings

But Jesus warned:

  • Wealth can choke your soul
  • Rich young ruler was told to give up everything

A rich church is not always a faithful church.

3. “Love Your Enemies”

(Matthew 5:44)

This is one of the most radical commands ever spoken.

Today’s problem:

  • Churches easily love insiders
  • But struggle with people of other faiths, critics, or enemies

Jesus said:

  • Pray for those who hurt you
  • Bless those who curse you

Kingdom love is not selective—it is offensive to human pride.

4. “Hypocrisy is Worse than Sin”

(See Matthew 23)

Jesus was gentle with sinners—but harsh with religious leaders.

He publicly rebuked groups like the Pharisees:

  • “Whitewashed tombs”
  • “Blind guides”
  • “Brood of vipers”

Today’s problem:

  • Image matters more than integrity
  • Leaders are rarely corrected publicly

Jesus didn’t protect religious reputation—He exposed corruption.

5. “First Will Be Last”

(Matthew 20:16)

Jesus flipped all human systems:

  • Power → Service
  • Greatness → Humility

Today’s problem:

  • Titles, hierarchy, and status dominate
  • Celebrity pastors instead of servant leaders

In God’s kingdom, the unknown servant may be greater than the famous preacher.

6. “Go and Sin No More”

(John 8:11)

Jesus showed mercy—but never compromised truth.

Today’s problem:

  • Grace is preached without repentance
  • Sin is tolerated to avoid offense

Real grace transforms—it doesn’t excuse.

7. “Narrow is the Way”

(Matthew 7:14)

Jesus clearly said:

  • Not everyone will enter the kingdom
  • Many are on the broad road to destruction

Today’s problem:

  • Easy gospel: “Everyone is fine”
  • No warning about judgment or hell

Truth is not always popular—but it saves.

8. “Sell What You Have and Give to the Poor”

(Luke 12:33)

Jesus emphasized radical generosity.

Today’s problem:

  • Giving is optional
  • Comfort is prioritized over sacrifice

The early church gave everything—today we give leftovers.

9. “Make Disciples, Not Just Believers”

(Matthew 28:19)

Jesus didn’t say:

  • “Gather crowds”

He said:

  • “Make disciples”

Today’s problem:

Churches count attendance, not transformation

People believe—but don’t obey

A true disciple obeys, not just listens.

Final Prophetic Warning

If Jesus Christ walked into many churches today, He might say:

“You honor Me with your lips, but your heart is far from Me.”

This is not to condemn—but to awaken.

A Call to the Church

The Church doesn’t need:

  • Better lights
  • Bigger buildings
  • More programs
  • It needs:
  • Repentance
  • Holiness
  • Fear of God
