RESURRECTION vs RELIGION

“God Came to Us — Not We Climbing to God”

1. INTRODUCTION

Beloved, today I am not preaching about religion…

  • I am preaching about life after death.
  • Many follow religion…

But very few encounter resurrection power.

Religion says: “Try harder”

Resurrection says:“It is finished”

2. THE PROBLEM: ALL RELIGIONS TRY TO REACH GOD

Look at the systems of the world:

  • In Hinduism → Karma, rebirth, endless cycle
  • In Islam → Obey, submit, await judgment

Every system says:

“Climb… improve… earn… reach God”

But there is a problem…

Man is dead in sin — how can a dead man climb?

3. GOD’S ANSWER: JESUS DID NOT COME TO START A RELIGION

Jesus Christ did not come to give another method…

  • He came to destroy death itself.
  • He did not say: “Follow steps to reach God”
  • He said: “I am the Way”

4. THE CROSS: PAYMENT

At the cross:

  • Sin was not covered — it was paid in full
  • Judgment was not postponed — it was executed

But listen carefully…

  • If Jesus only died… He would be like any martyr
  • But He did something no one else did…

5. THE RESURRECTION: VICTORY

On the third day…

He rose again!

  • Death was defeated
  • Hell was shaken
  • The grave was opened
  • This is not philosophy

This is not symbolism

This is history-changing power

6. WHY RESURRECTION CHANGES EVERYTHING

Because of resurrection:

  • You don’t fight for victory → You fight from victory
  • You don’t earn salvation → You receive grace
  • You don’t fear death → Death fears you

Religion says: “Do more”

Resurrection says: “It is done”

7. HARD TRUTH FOR THE CHURCH

Today many churches have:

  • Titles… but no power
  • Rituals… but no life
  • Programs… but no resurrection

We have become religious…

But lost the fire of the empty tomb!

8. CALL TO AWAKENING

Ask yourself:

  • Are you following a system?
  • Or have you encountered the risen Christ?

Christianity is not: Church attendance

Good behavior

It is: Encounter with the living Jesus

Transformation by resurrection power

9. ALTAR CALL

Today…

  • If your faith is only religion…
  • If your heart is dry…
  • If your life has no victory…

Come to the One who conquered death…

Jesus is not in the grave — He is alive!

Say:

  • “Lord Jesus,
  • I don’t want religion…
  • I want resurrection life
  • Come into my heart
  • Raise me from spiritual death
  • Be my Lord and Savior
  • Amen.”

  1) What Exactly Did Christ Redeem Us From? The key verse: Galatians 3:13 — “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…” What is “the curse of the Law”?
